The history of our family

The history of the Amer Yachts brand begins in the 90s, when the Permare shipyard began building boats with this signature destined to quickly become synonymous with quality and customization in the pleasure boat and vessel segment.

The founders of the company are the Amerio family, who, guided by a true passion for the sea, handed down from generation to generation, has produced and still generates an important industry in the Ligurian territory.

The shipyard's strengths, which have made it possible to overcome the severe crisis in the sector which occurred between 2008 and 2012, are quality, innovation and after-sales service, attention to the environment, customization and internationalization, while maintaining family-style business management.

Over the last 40 years, the Permare shipyard has created an artisanal production considered niche, with over 100 yachts built to measure for Italian and foreign customers.

The yachts have been exported to international countries overseas in addition to the large number of units present in the Mediterranean.

There is a natural inclination of the shipyard to annually support training through collaborations with Italian and foreign universities and polytechnics and design institutes to encourage development and research and promote innovation in Design and above all to raise awareness among future designers towards a union between design and environmental respect. ESG actions are guided by the 2030 agenda through an annual report from 2022.
