Ready to set sail for the autumn boat shows
The new Amer shipyard in Pisa, now under construction
As per tradition, Amer will be present at the next three 2025 boating events:
September 9-14
Cannes Yachting Festival (booth SYE 151)
September 18-23
Salone Nautico di Genova (booth YE 01)
September 24-27
Monaco Yacht Show (booth QE2)
Along with a selection of new additions to the fleet, the Amer booths will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of the historic Sanremo shipyard: the sea. With new spaces, colors, and a new graphic style that redefines its image, starting with the logo.
The Amerio family, owners of the shipyard, have the privilege of having the letters of the Italian word for sea, “mare”, in their name. It is the sea that has given life to its yachts in over 50 years of activity, and the sea is the protagonist of the booths. An allusion to the pleasure of travel, of stopping and of life on board. An invitation to rediscover the profound meaning of experiencing the sea and the coast, with care and respect.
Supporting conscious and relaxed navigation requires significant technological advances. Continuous research to improve the performance of yachts, built with fiberglass, steel, aluminum, and soon with alternative materials to traditional composites, such as basalt fibers combined with recyclable resins. Among Amer’s most innovative initiatives is its collaboration with Volvo Penta, which began in 2014 with the pioneering introduction of IPS propulsion technology: a system capable of reducing environmental impact through low fuel consumption and emissions, while improving driving comfort, maneuverability, and acoustic comfort—both on board and in the marine environment.
An attitude towards evolution and change, inherent in the shipyard’s DNA, which is now entering a new phase through encounters with new stakeholders and new creative groups dedicated to research and development, architecture and design, and Amer’s image and communication. A strategic step that confirms the desire to face the future with dynamism, openness, and continuity.
A new design team composed of the Aoumm studio and architects Mario Bonelli and Anna Borla will be responsible for designing new composite models and researching and applying new materials to the design process. The internal team at Amer Yachts, led by Fernando and Rodolfo Amerio with Giulio Riva and Franco Pasquali, will be joined by the tried and tested Optima Design (Antonio Luxardo e Michele Zignego), Luiz De Basto, Stefano Tini, Aude De Foucher, Laura Pomponi/Luxury Projects and Laurent Chagnard/Sérénité Luxury Monaco.
In the wake of constant experimentation, Amer yachts will evolve according to a responsible design approach, guided by ecology and quality of life on board. The spaces will be designed with increasingly flexible and open architectural solutions and layouts, offering each owner the opportunity to enjoy a personalized and tailor-made experience on the water. Particular attention will be paid to functionality and the ability of spaces to adapt to different uses, thanks to flexible compositional principles that facilitate customization. And to the construction of a range of low environmental impact materials, from renewable and recyclable resources, to be used also for coverings and furnishings, and to radically rethink the anatomy of yachts in a responsible and contemporary way.
To meet the demand for larger vessels, Amer has entered the range of displacement boats up to 80 meters, built with metal, steel, and aluminum, including the Amer 41S, the first explorer in the world to be equipped with Volvo Penta S40 engines, and the Amer 70S, currently under construction.
For full-scale production, which already includes two 50-meter and one 74-meter vessels, a new industrial plant is under construction in Pisa, in the Navicelli area, which will be completed in 2026.
At the 2025 boat shows, Amer will present the new 100 and 120 models of the Amer composite series. These will be available for visits on board by owners and enthusiasts who make up the parallel “Amer Family,” formed over time by admirers of the brand and its qualities around the three Amerio generations who now run the shipyard.
